NaNoWriMo 2006 Winner!

Validated my novel on Sunday at the last St Louis write-in, 50007 words!  Story needs a few hundred more to finish, but I'm about there.  Managed to drop in lyrics for Weird Al's "White and Nerdy" and the Wordworth daffodils poem, plus some Shakespeare misquotes, and one small knitting reference early on.

2006 NaNoWriMo winner!

For starting four days late, I think I did pretty good.  Went back to science fiction for this one, and based the story on the Mars Direct plan from Robert Zubrin's The Case for Mars, which covers everything from the first manned mission to terraforming.  I think the story turned out OK.

The St Louis vs Detroit Word War isn't over till November 30th, St Louis came from way behind and we're running with a small lead right now (148k).  Go team!
