NaNoWriMo preparation

This year will be my fourth National Novel Writing Month, fifty thousand words all written in the thirty days of November. I have my plotbunny in hand and a list of odd things to research (the French Resistance in WWII, neutrino mass and energy, how unions work, etc.). Three more weeks and the writing begins!

  1. [BLINKS]

    Since I totally failed at (and got myself pretty guilt-ridden and downcast over) a basic crossover fanfic challenge this year, I don’t think I’ll *ever* be trying NaNoWriMo.

    Especially as I’m living in a different Na, where the Mo starts and ends several hours earlier. =:o}

  2. Ah, come on in, Paul! The water’s fine. My first NaNo (2 years ago) produced some of the happiest nonsense I’ve ever committed. It doesn’t have to be good. It doesn’t even have to be clean. It just has to be fun. Oh, and 50,000 words. 🙂

    Yay, QT! Hats off to you for being so organized! I’ve been kicking around a few ideas, but none of them is jumping up and down going “ME! ME! OOH! PICK ME!” I may end up just winging it like year one. Scary thought. *runs off to buy combat boots for better idea-kicking*
