FO: Handspun Halfdome #2

Got to my doctor's appointment crazy early the other week.  Lunchtime traffic was less than I expected, the doctor was late, and, well...

RIMMER: There:  some kind of writing on the floor.  P-S-I-R-E-N-S. Psirens?

KRYTEN: The poor devil scrawled it in his death throes, using a combination of his own blood and even some lengths of his own intestines.

RIMMER: Who would do that?

LISTER: Someone who badly needed a pen.

CAT: What I don't understand is why he went to the trouble of using his kidney as a full stop.
RIMMER: I don't think he meant that.  It probably just plopped out.

Red Dwarf season 6, episode "Psirens"

This hat just plopped onto the needles.  It doesn't resemble a kidney at all.  Perfect mindless knitting, even after you get to the raglan decreases.  The Jacob yarn was one of my earlier attempts and it has a fierce twist in it.  Knitting up an uneven yarn gives a nicely rustic fabric, it feels warm and windproof.  This has been living by my Mac laptop and getting a few rows here and there between downloads, while reading the news, and watching the first episode of season 3 of The Guild.

Jacob halfdome #2.

The first Jacob halfdome will be on its way to Maryland for Rox.  She was there when I bought the roving at the Sheep and Wool festival, and I wish she lived closer because I miss her.
