Alpha

Got some of the materials to make the red necklace and bracelet, The rest needs a trip to the other end of town. I think it will look pretty.

Alpha last night was interesting. My group (I can’t believe I’m leading a group) has the newer Christians in, and they came up with some serious questions. Two of them are answered later on in the course, one I confessed I don’t have an answer to (why does bad stuff happen to us). Definitely interesting.

This time through Alpha, the meals are taken care of by someone else. Huge improvement, so much less stress. But we have to watch it in the sanctuary of the office and training building, an old Episcopalian church complete with wooden pews designed to keep you awake as you shift position every ten minutes trying to get comfy.

Guideposts Magazine

Got a copy of the January issue of Guideposts Magazine in the mail. They are starting a series on depression, and list three websites in the article sidebar: National Foundation for Depressive Illness (www.depression.org), National Institute of Mental Health (www.nimh.nih.gov), and “For a Christian perspective, click on http://www.gospelcom.net/cdp”

Three websites. Two government sites, and Christian Depression Pages, which is run by two Brits, an American and an Icelander. The website I started in 1996 was listed in a print magazine which currently goes to 3,300,000 homes. Weeble. CDP January stats show nearly 48,000 hits in 18 days.

Created a pop up menu for Chronicle.
