FO: Philly Cowl
The snow is melting, the sun is out, but today is Groundhog Day and Punxsutawney Phil says we have another six weeks of winter. I'm about done with winter.
Finished the Philly Cowl at the weekend. Used the larger of the two buttons I'd picked for it and it looks pretty good. It feels very soft and warm without being bulky under a coat. I skipped the extra half repeat and it came out just the right height. There's enough yarn left to make another one.
Also started a pair of socks on Sunday while Hubby was doing setup at church. The yarn is Fyberspates 100% BFL yarn, colour is Peach, Plum, and Ginger self-striping. These will definitely be fraternal socks, I'll start sock #2 from the outside to give it a plum toe. Picked the Oblique Openwork pattern from Sensational Knitted Socks with one pattern panel, offset from the centre. I love BFL socks for the thinness and the softness, I think it's more hard wearing than merino.
It is so nice to be knitting with colours again.
