FO: Third Cousin Gradient socks
Finished a pair of odd socks:
Pattern: Mirrored panels of Oblique Openwork from Sensational Knitted Socks
Yarn: Fyberspates self striping BFL in Peach, Plum, and Ginger
Needles: US0 circular
Duration: 1st February to 24th February 2009
The one at the top was done first, I used an Easy Toe, Sherman heel, and roll brim top. The yarn is very soft, with a slight halo now it's been through the wash and these feel silky to wear.
I love BFL yarn for the softness and toughness, and because they're thinner than regular hand knit socks. I have to go down a needle size and use more stitches but it's worth it. These were a constant surprise, I never knew what colour was coming next. The shaded striping of each colour is nice, and the transition between colours, I just wish the "stripes" had been smaller because these two socks are look nothing alike. I'm OK with them being different, but this is the first pair I've made that are so unalike.
