Pressed whine

After the forty-eighth time through the speech, it gets a bit wearing.  On the plus side, I can now correctly pronounce Decatur IL, Des Plaines IL, Louisville KY, Macon GA, Metairie LA, Milwaukee WI, and Ocala FL.  Yes, I'm a temp, I'm doing the grunt work and calling every branch office,  but it'll pay for milk and cookies, so you can't complain.  Complain about your own job.

Discovered the magic tech support phrase "what do you see?"  It works!

I am continually amazed at the quality of commercial software.  I'm using something that resets to screen one of 418 every time you go there.  Where's the "next record" button?  Why am I clicking through nine screens of data each time I change a record?  Is this user friendly?  I think not.
