Charged up the Palm V last night while we were at Alpha, got it talking to the laptop this morning, it was easy!  Just plug it in and hit the magic button, try to ignore the twinkly noise it makes, and you're done!  It was a whole lot easier than getting Kim Seibel's HP Journada up and running.  Kudos to Palm, they got it right.
