The End

Went to the final St Charles write-in today and finished my NaNoWriMo story at the Crooked Tree Coffee Shop.  I can actually type "The End" without feeling guilty.  51,785 words and it ended at a really good point.

My December writng project is to write the long-neglected final chapter of my 2007 NaNoWriMo novel and get a hard copy from CreateSpace.  January's project is to prep the 2008 novel for its own hard copy transformation.  There's something special about getting a solid physical copy of the book you poured yourself into for one intense month.

This story pulled in the Uffington White Horse and the legend of George and the Dragon, time travel, an old Victorian locket, those lost moments when you drive to work and don't remember it, a lost velociraptor, Neanderthals, two poems I remember from English class at school (Dulce et Decorum Est, and To His Coy Mistress), and time travel that doesn't alter history.  I had a really good time writing this one.
