Travel plans

Walking out of work for two weeks is a special feeling.  Jess arrives tomorrow afternoon from London's Gatwick airport.  I have yet to meet an airport I actually like, I think it's something in the design, the sinking feeling that your bag is heading for Bombay, and waiting for the pilot to say "that little red light hasn't turned off yet, and we're only halfway across the Atlantic, so we're going to turn around and go back to New York for repairs.  Have a nice flight."

I need some ideas.  What would you do with, and to, a Brit on her first trip to the US?  We've already planned an apple picking trip, complete with hayride, and the obligatory trip up the St. Louis Gateway Arch, possibly the science centre, women's homegroup, church potluck/anniversary bash.  What else?
